St Joseph’s College is a vibrant independent day and boarding school in Ipswich providing a broad and seamless education for over 600 boys and girls aged 2 – 19. This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful, committed and well-established Sport Faculty. The department has a long-standing history of success at local, regional and national levels across a range of sports. We are privileged to boast amazing facilities on-site, including sports hall, award-winning outdoor pitches, state-of-the-art all-weather surface and purpose-built strength and conditioning gym, which is accessible to all students. ​

​We have strong links with local clubs and community providers as well as high level sporting organisations. St Joseph’s is the official college partner of EalingTrailfinders Rugby. In addition, we work closely with Northampton Saints and other Premiership rugby clubs. The College also works in partnership with Ipswich Town Football Club. ​

​We are seeking to appoint a strong post graduate assistant teacher of sports to join our amazing faculty. They must have a sporting background in Netball/ Rugby/ Football/Cricket/ Athletic Development. ​

​The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, well organised and demonstrate a genuine commitment to driving sports participation, coaching and physical education at all levels (students 2-19).​

​Support and professional development are a priority at St Joseph’s College. We invest in our staff by providing regular coaching, career planning and training sessions. We have an “open door” lesson policy which ensures you receive extensive support and we promote peer-to-peer sharing of practice, all designed to help you be the best teacher you can be.​
