AUPP Liger Leadership Academy is a residential E-STEAM (Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) secondary school developing leadership, critical thinking, and community engagement in Cambodian youth. We combine experiential project-based learning with strong pastoral care and boarding life for students in grades 7–12.
The Residential Director leads all aspects of boarding operations, student welfare, and residential staff management to ensure a safe, nurturing, and development-focused living environment. This role oversees residential policy, health & safety, duty rostering, pastoral programs, and boarding infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for boarding/residential life for approximately 190 students in August 2026, growing to a maximum possible number of 400 over the following 5-7 years.
- Design, implement, and review residential policies (duty of care, safeguarding, behaviour, curfew, visitors).
- Manage and develop residential staff: recruitment, training, performance reviews, rostering.
- Oversee student welfare services: pastoral care, health coordination, incident response, counselling referrals.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and local regulations; maintain secure records and reporting.
- Lead onboarding and induction for new boarders and families; run parental communications regarding boarding.
- Manage residential budget, supplies, maintenance requests, and facility upgrades.
- Coordinate emergency planning and crisis response for residential incidents.
- Work closely with Academy and Education Directors to ensure boarding supports student learning and wellbeing.
- Promote a positive boarding culture: student leadership, community activities, life skills programs.
