MULTI SPORTS COACH
Port Regis is one of the country’s leading co-educational day and boarding schools for children aged

Role Profile
We are seeking to appoint a Multi Sports Coach who will:
• coach hockey, netball, athletics and cricket for Port Regis girls aged 7-13;
• coach gymnastics for Port Regis pupils and external gym users (all children) and support the
gymnasts at events and competitions when required;
• provide swimming teaching and lifeguarding for Port Regis pupils and external swim users (all
children) and support the swimmers at events and competitions when required.
Experience in coaching hockey, netball, athletics and cricket at this level are desired, but not essential.
Similarly, a Level 1 or 2 Gym Coaching qualification and Swimming Teaching and Lifeguarding
qualifications are desired, but not essential. We can arrange all the necessary training and qualifications
for the successful candidate. Accommodation on site can also be provided if desired by the successful
candidate in exchange for undertaking some boarding duties during term time in one of our boarding
houses.
Hours of Work
This is a 40 hour a week role all year round (but applicants wishing to work part-time or during term
time only would be considered, please specify the details in your covering letter).

Job Description
Responsible to
Director of Sport and Wellbeing.
Key responsibilities – sport
• To provide high quality coaching in hockey, netball, athletics, cricket, gymnastics and swimming.
• Lifeguarding swim sessions when required.
• To be involved with planning and preparation of activities, the management of resources and
compilation of records and reports as necessary.
• To co-operate with other members of staff, sharing information, ideas and expertise.
Key responsibilities – pastoral
• All staff are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times and to
support and foster the vision and values of the School.
General Duties
• Comply with statutory requirements for example the Health and Safety at Work Act and the
Data Protection Act and School policies and procedures in this regard.
• Safeguarding and compliance with our Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy and procedures.
• Maintain positive and effective communication with all members of the Port Regis community
including pupils, staff, parents and Old Port Regians (OPRs); external users; the local community;
and outside agencies.
• Ensure the reflection of Port Regis’ values in all communications.
• Adhere to the school’s policies as contained in the Staff Handbook.
• Undertake other such duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

Desired
• Experience of coaching children aged 7-13.
• Experience of coaching hockey, netball, athletics, cricket, gymnastics and swimming.
• Level 1 or 2 gym coach qualification.
• Swimming teacher qualification.
• Lifeguard qualification.
