The Post

We are looking to appoint a Head of Boarding to lead and manage the Boarding at Ashfold.

Although this could be a standalone position, it could also be combined with another role in the school. The role comes with a large flat, which is provided rent and bill free for the proper carrying out of the duties.

The successful candidate will have had Boarding experience and be able to create a warm, welcoming and family atmosphere within the Boarding House.

Possessing excellent communication and leadership skills, they will be able to develop and foster positive relationships. With vision, enthusiasm and energy for the role, they will lead a team of dedicated staff to inspire children and to enhance their Boarding experience.

The successful candidate will have excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills, high personal standards and the ability to deal effectively and sensitively with staff, parents, pupils and the wider school community.

The School

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 270 children aged 3 -13, set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty-acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just thirty minutes from Oxford. The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children know both each other and all of the staff.
