Opportunity to join Prior Park Schools Estates Department working as Grounds Technician based at Prior Park College, overlooking beautiful Bath.

Reporting to the Head of Grounds and Gardens, working 7 hours are between 07:00 and 17:00, to fit with the needs of the Estates department. This is a key role responsible for carrying out estate maintenance work and preparation of sports surfaces for both Prior Park College and the Paragon School.

The Estates Department maintains the buildings, grounds and gardens at both Prior Park College and the Paragon school reporting to the Estates Manager. The team consists of general builders, plumbers, carpenter, electrician and apprentice. This team maintains the schools’ general maintenance, ensuring compliance and carrying out small capital works. The grounds and gardens side consists of gardeners, grounds persons specialising in sports preparation and grounds presentation.

The post holder will have full access to the Trust’s fleet of maintenance vehicles for use on site or as transport between Prior Park College and The Paragon School. A full, clean driving license is an essential requirement for the post.

Salary from c£25kpa, depending on experience.

The role will commence as soon as all pre-employment checks are in place.

The role can also accommodate live-in on site if required, with a three-bedroom house being provided, free of rent. This option would include an additional responsibility of Site Security, Maintenance Technician to lock up the school Monday to Friday. Please ask for further details and the job description.
