EYFS/NURSERY TEACHER
We are currently seeking a multi-talented, experienced vocational educator for our Nursery children aged from 18 months to 4 years, to enhance our team of dedicated EYFS educators. The BSL Nursery is a friendly International Nursery, passionate about providing a happy, vibrant and innovative learning environment for all our young learners.
Although the BSL Nursery presently follows the EYFS curriculum we have a contemporary approach to enquiry-based learning where all our children are nurtured to flourish personally, culturally, emotionally, and socially. We are looking to implement the PYP in the Primary School within the next two years.

The British School of Lomé is located in a very safe, leafy area of the capital city of Togo about 20 minutes’ drive from the sea. The school is well-established and enjoys an excellent reputation in Togo, in West Africa and globally. BSL is an affiliate member of the Boarding School Association, and we are currently updating and expanding our boarding facilities. The International Duke of Edinburgh Award is well established at BSL, and our students enjoy contributing to service activities, learning new skills, doing a wide range of sporting activities and participating in Camping trips and adventurous journeys in the hilly regions of Togo. Our application to become a member of the internationally renowned Round Square School organisation is in its final stages.
BSL has a well-established and authorised IBDP programme and offers Cambridge IGCSE’s in the Secondary School. The Primary school currently offers the UK curriculum and is in the process of developing the PYP teaching and learning strategies and practices to become a PYP accredited Primary School.
Togo is one of the fastest growing economies in West Africa, as a result of this, the international community is growing, and we anticipate this expansion to be reflected in the school numbers.
Our BSL alumni live and work all over the world and many of them have won international awards and are leaders in their field. In September 2023 we are looking forward to seeing many of them join us to help us celebrate our 40th anniversary of the founding of BSL.
At BSL we know that our EYFS team have a crucial role to play in building the firm educational and developmental foundations for our BSL learners. In EYFS our students experience that learning is engaging and fun and they overcome challenges with appropriate support. The contributions of our EYFS team and students are appreciated and valued immensely throughout the school.
