This is a term-time position plus 3 days prior and 3 days at the end of each term for deep cleans, up to 20 hours a week available – flexible working patterns considered.
A further contracted 35 days paid at a higher rate to cover summer and easter lets.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning any areas within the House as directed by the House Matron to the required standard.
- Cleaning and maintaining all equipment as instructed.
- Complying with instruction relating to security and confidentiality.
- Managing the laundry requirements of the pupils in the Boarding House.
- Observing and complying with the Health and Safety policy and code of practice for cleaning staff and to observe COSHH regulations.
- Ensuring that the manufacturer’s instructions for the safe use of cleaning materials are complied with and that the proper safety clothing is worn as laid down. If in doubt, advice must be sought from the House Matron.
- Performing any other duties commensurate with the Domestic Assistant pay as directed by the Matron.
- Providing cleaning cover for other houses during periods of absence.
Skills and Experience:
- Customer service-oriented individuals who are polite, friendly with excellent communication skills and a “can do” attitude.

- Committed to providing a quality service right down to the intricate details.
- Proactive in seeking service improvements.
- Experience in cleaning services desirable.
