Deputy Head of House

Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Deputy Head of House to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in city centre Manchester.  Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English speaking world and a world-class concert venue all in the heart of Manchester.

The job

  • To assist the Head of House to ensure a clear and effective flow of information between all stakeholders, in each student’s life on all matters concerning the welfare of our students and ensure accurate records of all personal information relevant to the care of individuals are maintained.
  • House Staff at Chetham’s manifest a real and evident love of working with young people. Deputy Heads of House are warm, cheerful, and stable, and value positive reinforcement through energy and enthusiasm.
  • This a full time, permanent role/fixed term role.
  • The shift pattern is 8 shifts per week
