Course Outline
This is a practical course which will help you to consider how to support your pupils with both language acquisition and concept development in the mainstream classroom.
Training topics will include:
Approaches to contextual, linguistic and grammatical effectiveness in an integrated classroom.

To give both EAL and subject teachers a better understanding of strategies to enhance and consolidate second language learning within an immersive strategy.

Lois has 18 years’ experience teaching EAL both at the British Council in Morocco, where she led the teacher training programme for Moroccan teachers of English, and at Concord College in Shropshire. As a modern languages graduate and someone fascinated by the process of language acquisition and learning in a second language, she enjoys supporting subject teachers in meeting the specific needs of their EAL learners.

Hi I have two albums of photos taken at what appears to be a boarding school in 1945/6. I don't know the school - there is only one photo showing any part of the exterior. The photos are excellent - the master who took them was clearly a gifted amateur. I'd like to try to trace the school and ask if they'd like the albums for their archives. I've attempted to scan the one with the exterior. It's firmly glued into the album, so apologies for the poor quality.
