Course Outline:
Most schools’ statutory responsibility is to update their EAL policies annually. Our policies are important to establish the framework of values and activities your school is committed to providing and defining these both internally across our teams and externally to students, parents and other stakeholders.
This webinar, led by BAISIS Chair and Head, Mill Hill International, Sarah Bellotti, gives practical advice on what to include in your school’s EAL policy and how to ensure you deliver.

Sarah was elected BAISIS Chair in January 2022, having served as Deputy Chair since November 2020.
Sarah started her career in education at an international school in Rome, Italy and then returned to the UK to take up a post at King’s Ely where she later became Director of King’s Ely International. Since 2014, Sarah has worked at The Mount, Mill Hill International as the founding Headteacher.

Hi I have two albums of photos taken at what appears to be a boarding school in 1945/6. I don't know the school - there is only one photo showing any part of the exterior. The photos are excellent - the master who took them was clearly a gifted amateur. I'd like to try to trace the school and ask if they'd like the albums for their archives. I've attempted to scan the one with the exterior. It's firmly glued into the album, so apologies for the poor quality.

Congratulations to Portia Putatunda, founder of the Planet Spiti Boarding School in a remote part of the Himalayas, who is our first winner of BSA’s wonderful new Emma Pattison Award for Compassionate Leadership. BSA was delighted to present Planet Spiti Boarding School with an Honorary Membership this year.

The Emma Pattison Award for Compassionate Leadership has been introduced for 2024 in memory of former Epsom College Head, Emma Pattison, recognises an individual who consistently embodies compassion and kindness within their leadership role. The award exemplifies a person who fosters trust, contributes to team morale and makes a meaningful and positive impact on those around them.
