Course outline:
This presentation will demystify the term ADHD and co-existing conditions in terms of learning, behaviour and socialisation issues. Focusing on traits and not labels we will provide delegates with an understanding of the developmental differences of ADHD to support children in terms of living and learning.
Training topics will include:
- The neuroscience of ADHD
- Developmental differences of ADHD
- Introduction to the SF3R approach – structure, flexibility, rapport, relationships and resilience.
Learning outcomes:
All attendees will develop a much greater understanding and awareness of how children with ADHD relate to the world around them in learning and social settings. Systems and strategies outlined will inform, confirm and “spark” innovative ways of supporting children and young persons with ADHD within boarding schools.

Fintan O’Regan, ADHD, Neurodiversity and Behaviour Consultant
Fin is one of the leading Behaviour and Learning specialists in the UK. He is currently an ADHD, Neurodiversity and Behaviour Consultant for number of schools and organisations and an associate lecturer for Leicester University, the National Association of Special Needs, The Helen Arkell Charity, the Institute of Education and is on the advisory board at University of Michigan USA.
He is the former Vice Chairman of UKAP and the European ADHD Alliance and the chairperson of the European ADHD Taskforce. He is a currently a school governor, a member of the Special Education Consortium, the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee, a full council member of the Council of Registered Schools for the Teaching of Dyslexia (CReSTeD) and The Child and Development Centre London.
He has presented over 3000 seminars throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, Australia, New Zealand and North America and has published over 10 books on ADHD and Neurodivergence.
