Course outline:
This presentation will demystify the term ADHD and co-existing conditions in terms of learning, behaviour and socialisation issues. Focusing on traits and not labels we will provide delegates with an understanding of the developmental differences of ADHD to support children in terms of living and learning.
Training topics will include:
- The neuroscience of ADHD
- Developmental differences of ADHD
- Introduction to the SF3R approach – structure, flexibility, rapport, relationships and resilience.
Learning outcomes:
All attendees will develop a much greater understanding and awareness of how children with ADHD relate to the world around them in learning and social settings. Systems and strategies outlined will inform, confirm and “spark” innovative ways of supporting children and young persons with ADHD within boarding schools.
