Elmhurst Ballet School is a world-leading centre for dance education, in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet. It is guided by strong and compassionate leadership, a clear vision and ambitious goals for the future.
We seek a Director of Finance and Operations to help shape the next chapter of our story, delivering Elmhurst’s vision in a challenging financial climate. They will lead on financial strategy, operational excellence, compliance and innovation to ensure our school is sustainable, safe and future-ready.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Partner with the Principal to deliver Elmhurst’s vision.
- Attend and report to the Board and its subcommittees, contributing to strategic governance and decision-making.
- Deliver operational excellence and be alert for income generation opportunities.
- Be a visible and valued part of our close-knit community, engaging directly with students through initiatives like the Food Sub-Council and supporting families through bursary processes.
- See the tangible impact of your work, creating a home-from-home for boarding students, enabling joyful, healthy lives through well-run operations and being part of a platform that launches many young dancers’ careers.
- Bring ideas, rigour, an eye for detail and a collaborative spirit to a school that is both magical and ambitious.
We’re looking for someone who is commercially astute, values-driven and comfortable moving between strategic and operational work. They must be a qualified accountant with a track record of effective line
