We seek to appoint from September 2022 an enthusiastic and inspiring full-time teacher of Chemistry to work with classes throughout the Senior School in this outstanding independent girls’ school.
This position would suit either an experienced or Early Career Teacher or an Initial Teacher Trainee (who would begin on a reduced timetable as part of the training programme). St Catherine’s has a 20-year record of supporting trainee teachers with full mentoring provision and support alongside the possibility of accommodation as part of pastoral work within the boarding community.
The successful candidate will have a good degree in Chemistry or a related area and either a proven track record of excellent teaching or the ability and desire to train and develop into an excellent teacher. They will have excellent subject knowledge, be an enthusiastic and dynamic presence in the classroom and the department, will be self-motivated, organised, resourceful and a team player and above all, will have a passion for Chemistry and be able to inspire and challenge academically bright and capable girls.
