Role:

The Housekeeping team as a whole is responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness throughout the Estate. Each Domestic Assistant will be responsible for a specified area and will be expected to clean to the frequency and standard set out.

The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of your designated area and for maintaining high and consistent standards.

 

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • To ensure standards and procedures are adhered to
  • Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to
  • Work as part of a team and support other members of the cleaning team to meet standards and school objectives
  • Attend all training as and when required
  • Perform any other duties asked by the Housekeeper, or Events and Conference Manager

 

The Appointed Candidate will have:

  • Been educated to a secondary school level
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • The ability to carry out instructions safely and carefully
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and pupils (as appropriate)
  • Ability to use own initiative without direct supervision when required
  • Experience of working in a school environment or environment with children (Desirable)
  • Motivation to work with children and young people
  • A sense of humour!
  • Some knowledge of Health & Safety regulations as they relate to the role (Desirable)
