Course Outline:
Schools are increasingly neurodiverse. This webinar will focus on best practice when supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and how to ensure our school environment and boarding houses are safe, inclusive spaces fostering a sense of belonging.
Training topics will include:
- Understanding of the unique characteristics and challenges of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- How ASC can impact on life in boarding
- Holistic, inclusive approaches
- Being an advocate for pupils with ASC.
Learning outcomes:
- Establish positive relationships with pupils with ASC and their parents/guardians
- Consider inclusive practices in school and in the boarding house
- Skills and strategies to support pupils with ASC.
