Course outline
This seminar will consider the needs of those who are relatively new to boarding within prep and junior environments. There will be generic discussion of the scope and nature of the challenges of working in boarding in general, plus specific consideration of the characteristics and requirements of junior boarding houses, focusing on achieving the best outcomes for the pupils

Speaker: Andrew Lewin, BSA Senior Consultant
Andrew Lewin has considerable experience in boarding, and particularly in the prep school world. He was International Director at the BSA before moving into a consultant role. His broad remit offers a range of services to boarding schools worldwide. He has considerable experience working with boarding school staff all around the world. Andrew has lived and worked in boarding schools all his life. He has been the Head in three prep boarding schools, as well as Deputy Head, Housemaster, Head of Geography, Master i/c Rugby, Hockey and Cricket, Appeal Director and Director of Development, as well as having been a Governor, an ISI Team Inspector and a member of IAPS Committees and two Local Safeguarding Children Boards.
Andrew has set up his own company, Project 1000 Ltd, and focuses on building resilience and wellbeing in individuals, teams and organisation. He is a WRAW Master Practitioner, trained by the Wellbeing Project, and offers life coaching, diagnostic assessments, workshops and seminars. He is also Education Development Director for Performance Learning, an EdTech Company that provides early identification and support for young people, parents and teachers/tutors to understand self-regulation and meta-cognition, focusing on ‘how we learn’.
