Course outline:
This seminar will look at the use of data in governance. It will consider when and where to request data and what to expect from senior leadership teams. The seminar will highlight where to go to find national trends to allow for comparison with an individual setting.
Training topics will include:
- Common data management systems in schools.
- Typical issues to request reporting on.
- Spotting patterns and trends in data.
- Comparing with national trends – where to find information.
Learning outcomes:
- Know the questions to ask of senior leadership.
- Be able to spot concerning patterns and trends in school data.
- Be able to find external data for comparison.
