JOB OVERVIEW

House Parents at Bosworth School have a truly unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our young people and you will be a supervising adult presence in the Boarding House, committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our boarding students and assisting them in their daily lives. The House Parent role is central to the positive social and personal development of our students. House Parents look after the wellbeing and welfare of our students once the school day is over. The role is busy and varied and will involve organising and running activities. You will be instrumental in helping students to forge valuable friendships by encouraging them to take part in activities.
You will be required to work on a two-week shift pattern. Weekday hours when on duty are evenings and mornings, and each two-week shift contains a weekend on duty. Employment will be on a full-time basis, term time plus 7 additional weeks. The 7 additional weeks will include 3 half terms, Easter break and the first and last week of the summer holidays. This will also include bank holidays. You are required to work flexibly in accordance with the shift rota, including being available to support students for arrivals and departures. Accommodation is provided as part of the role for the better performance of your duties.
