Evening Kitchen Assistant

Are you passionate about providing excellent service in an inspiring environment? Cranbrook School, a distinguished co-educational grammar school set in the heart of the stunning Wealden countryside, is seeking an enthusiastic Evening Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated catering team.

As a unique institution with a rich history dating back to 1518, Cranbrook is one of the few state boarding schools in the UK. Our kitchen plays a vital role in enhancing the daily experience of our students, providing them with nutritious meals that fuel their learning and play.

The Evening Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including food preparation, assisting in the serving of meals, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and supporting the kitchen team in daily operations. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals during the evening shift.
  • Ensuring kitchen areas are clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Washing up and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Supporting the kitchen team in various tasks as required.
  • Contributing to a positive dining experience for students.

We are looking for candidates who possess a friendly and approachable demeanour, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential, as we provide training for the right individual.

This is a part-time position. Join us in our mission to create a nurturing environment where students can thrive, and be part of a team that takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

If you are ready to embark on a rewarding journey with us at Cranbrook School, we invite you to apply today!
