Course outline:

This seminar is for staff relatively new to boarding within prep and junior school settings. It provides an essential foundation for understanding the distinctive nature of boarding for younger pupils and equips delegates with practical knowledge and confidence to deliver high-quality care in this environment.

Through a blend of broad discussion and focused exploration, participants will consider both the general challenges of working in a boarding context and the unique considerations that come with caring for prep-aged children. The course will also reflect on personal wellbeing and sustainability in pastoral roles—ensuring staff are well-prepared to care for themselves while supporting others.
