Course outline:
Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-focused approach that explores the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. By identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns, CBT can lead to meaningful behavioural change in a relatively short period of time. Research consistently shows that CBT is an effective intervention for young people facing a wide range of emotional and behavioural challenges.
This practical training session will provide participants with a solid foundation in CBT theory, along with case studies and practical strategies that can be used in school or support settings – such as setting CBT homework and the rationale for doing so.
