Leighton Park is an award-winning, co-educational, day and boarding school for 11-18 years conveniently located between London and Oxford – only 30 minutes in a taxi from London, Heathrow and 25 minutes on the train to London, Paddington.

Leighton Park is particularly well respected for Creative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths), with a particular emphasis on creative problem solving and interdisciplinary approaches. We combine critical thinking with creativity and innovation – embracing project-based, interdisciplinary learning through the key industry partnerships giving our students the tools to work with others to create positive change.

Personal Development

We give our students the freedom to fully explore their talents and dreams and become the best version of themselves – all with the support of a dedicated tutor. Our CAS (Community, Action and Service) and Oakleaf Personal Development Programmes combined with our leading co-curriculars helped us to win the ISA Award for pupil personal development.

Leighton Park is a Yamaha Flagship Music Education Partner, the only school in Europe to hold this prestigious title. 60% of students learn an instrument at the school with one of our 27 music teachers. This mirrors exceptional opportunities in Drama and Dance.

Beyond the classroom, Leighton Park offers a rich and diverse co-curricular programme designed to support personal growth, creativity and leadership skills. There are over 90 co-curricular activities including more than 30 sports, including the main performance sports of football, hockey, and netball, supported by elite coaching and partnerships with organisations like Chelsea FC.

Academic Success

A significant proportion of our students go on to study at Russell Group universities and high-end specialist institutions, including conservatoires for music.

Boarding

Leighton Park has a thriving boarding community of 150 students from over 43 different countries who live across 3 boarding houses alongside UK Boarders. Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 have separate wings for girls and boys, while the students in Years 10 and above live in single-sex senior boarding houses. Each boarding houses has experienced house staff as well as five teachers living there. They all have a warm, relaxed and comfortable family-like atmosphere.

During evenings and weekends, there is a diverse programme of evening and weekend activities on offer for boarders.

Whether a quiet evening of baking in the house kitchen, a spirited football match, a trip to a theme park or a cultural trip to London or Oxford, there is something to match every interest. Every experience is designed to nurture independence, curiosity, and a strong sense of community.
