Why should you attend?

BSA Chief Executive, Robin Fletcher, has put together a programme looking at Boarding and the boarding market. The seminar will look at how the boarding market has changed in the UK over the past 30 years; what it looks like today and how boarding, and the boarding market, might change in the next 30 years and what schools can be doing in terms of boarding development to prepare and thrive.

Speaker: Robin Fletcher, MBA MPhil (BSA Chief Executive)

Robin was a boarder at Rugby School and is passionate about good quality, modern boarding. He has been BSA Chief Executive since 2014 and has since visited over 150 member schools and over 450 boarding houses in five countries. Robin has helped to introduce initiatives such as the Commitment to Care Charter, the Accredited Boarding Practitioner Scheme, the BSA I Love Boarding campaign, the Boarding Orchard, the Stephen Winkley Boarding Award and National Boarding Week. He is an honorary fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Cardiff Metropolitan University, a former journalism examiner and former adult education tutor. Robin is Vice President and editor of Rugby School’s alumni society, and in 2016 co-authored and edited Rugby’s 450th commemorative history book, Elizabeth to Elizabeth.
