The school was established in 2013. Our academic year starts in January and we prepare students for the Cambridge IGCSE and A level examinations.
We are a K-12 school, with about 600 students at present, out of which about a third are boarders. Our students come from over 20 nations. The vision of our founders is to provide quality but yet affordable education to the people in Kampar and the world.
Boarding is an integral part of Westlake International School. Through the boarding experience, boarders learn to become independent and are given ample of opportunities to develop integrity and strengthen emotional intelligence.
The boarding house upholds a culture of discipline. Boarders as young as 12 years old are taught time management and self- management. Boarders are entrusted with the privilege of making decisions daily with the guidance of their boarding house parents. Boarders develop integrity through learning to be a trustworthy friend to others and to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
The boarding house is a place where character is built, long lasting friendships forged and academic pursuits are balanced with the pursuit of talent within every boarder.
