Read School is a 352-year old boarding school for boys and girls 3-18, located in rural North Yorkshire. We offer a tranquil environment for study, a warm family ethos and outstanding pastoral support.
Small class sizes and generous staff to pupil ratios allow teachers to spend valuable time with each child, providing a wealth of opportunities for children to flourish and grow in confidence in every aspect of life at the school. This is demonstrated, not only in the children’s academic and extra- curricular achievements but also in the excellent quality of our drama productions and musical events, the breath-taking art work and the results and performances on the sports pitch.
The school welcomes applications from both the UK and overseas and international pupils typically make up 7-10% of our pupil population.
