St John’s Beaumont Preparatory School is Catholic day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-13, located near Royal Windsor on the borders of leafy Berkshire and Surrey. We are very proud of our Jesuit heritage and beautiful buildings, designed by JF Bentley, the architect of Westminster Cathedral. St John’s Beaumont is set amongst a stunning 75 acres of playing fields, copses and meadows adjoining Windsor Great Park, and it was the first purpose-built preparatory school in the country. Our state-of-the-art Sports Centre boasts an 8m climbing wall, fitness suite, ergos, electronic cricket academy, drama studio and IT suite, and further buildings house the Art Studio, Music theatre, a 25-metre indoor Swimming Pool and flood-lit Astro multi court. The curriculum is dedicated entirely to the needs of our pupils, with outstanding academic, creative and sporting facilities, ensuring that their potential is realized to the full. Children are prepared for some of the top public schools in the country and the School has won many Scholarships in recent years.
We offer a plethora of after-school activities ranging from polo, cricket, debating skills, swimming, rock-climbing, science clubs, self-defense, chess archery, drama – in fact the sky is the limit with the endless extra-curricular choice of clubs available.
Although the majority of our pupils are day pupils from the local and surrounding area, we have a thriving boarding community with pupils from the UK and abroad.
“Pretty much anything that rocks your child’s boat” was how the Tatler School Guide Magazine summed us up recently and we wholeheartedly agree!
