Sexey’s is a friendly, inclusive school set in the idyllic English countryside of Bruton, Somerset. Established in 1891, Sexey’s is a Church of England, co-educational state boarding and day school for 11-18 year olds.

As one of only a few state boarding schools in the country, we provide high quality boarding and education at the lowest possible cost – often a third that of an independent school. This is because the cost of education is covered by the UK government. To be eligible, students must have a UK passport or right to residency in the UK.

Informed by strong Christian values, we offer a supportive, caring, family atmosphere where teachers know their students’ strengths and build differentiated lessons to help them to grow and learn personally. Our dedicated pastoral and nursing teams are on hand to provide additional support outside of the classroom.

Our students perform consistently highly and well above the national average across a range of public examinations at both GCSE and A-level, year on year. This year, 100% of our Sixth Form students progressed on to their chosen university, 60% of which were within the Russell Group. We also offer a broad range of extracurricular activities and trips for boarders and day students.
