Set in beautiful, safe and idyllic Island surroundings just off the South Coast of England, Ryde School is a thriving, prosperous school providing exceptional opportunities for boys and girls throughout their education.

We have consistency, tradition and plenty of character, but we are also a dynamic community; our ethos reflects the need for new skills and resources in our rapidly changing economy and society. Ryde School’s excellent academic results at GCSE, A Level and IB, are by no means the only measure of our success; our purpose is to help our pupils to grow as independent individuals with ambition and purpose.

We are a Round Square and IB World School and are part of the PSB group of schools. Our pupils understand the importance of hard work and application and succeed in being offered places at top UK universities including Oxford and Cambridge, art and music colleges, some join apprenticeship schemes and some set up their own businesses straight after Sixth Form.

An extensive range of excellent resources are available, helping our pupils to reach their potential and achieve outstanding success in their chosen fields.  In addition to the extensive academic, creative arts and sporting programme, the location of our school enables us to provide an exciting, adventurous and diverse array of activities including competitive sailing and we are one of the few independent schools to offer sailing within the curriculum.
