Queen Margaret’s School, founded in 1921 by Miss Norah Creina Denny and Miss Dorothy Rachel Geoghegan, holds a rich history and a commitment to education. Situated on 30 picturesque acres on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, the school provides a serene and conducive learning environment.
With a diverse community comprising over 545+ students of all genders hailing from 33 different countries, Queen Margaret’s School offers education from Preschool through Grade 12. This diversity enriches the educational experience, fostering an inclusive and global perspective among its students.
The School’s location on Vancouver Island not only provides a beautiful backdrop for learning but also offers opportunities for outdoor activities and environmental education, enhancing the overall educational experience.
Through our long-standing tradition and dedication to education, QMS continues to prepare students for academic success and personal growth in a nurturing and supportive environment.
The character, tone and spirit of a school do not depend on fine buildings but on people themselves. Back in 1921, Miss Denny and Miss Geoghegan wanted to show all students who came under their care how to reach their potential, both academically and socially.
Though much has changed over the past 100+ years, the spirit of our Founders’ vision is still embedded in our strategic plan: We prepare trailblazers…no two journeys are the same.
