La Garenne International School welcomes children from ages 5 to 18 to its campus in the Swiss village of Villars-sur-Ollon. Academic excellence and a warm and diverse international family atmosphere come together in exceptional surroundings in the Alps.
Founded in 1947, La Garenne is an International Baccalaureate World School and holds accreditations from the Council of International Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and many others.
Teaching is in English, with French as a second language at all levels to encourage bilingualism. Primary children follow the International Primary Curriculum, with elements of the British National Curriculum. From ages 11 – 16, students follow the IB Middle Years Programme, progressing to the IB Diploma in the final two years of study for 16 – 18 year olds.
In addition to the academic year programme, La Garenne runs an annual Summer Camp, an Integration Programme for prospective students, and a Winter Camp for snow sports enthusiasts.
