In our beautiful location on the edge of the historic town of Bideford beside the Atlantic Ocean and close to both Dartmoor and Exmoor we offer a broad range of extra-curricular activities as well as the warm and family friendly atmosphere only possible in a small school. Almost all of our children go on to university. As well as excellent academic study, our particular strengths include a wonderful Art and Design studio that takes up most of the top floor of the main school building, and water-sports, such as surfing, surf kayaking, kayaking and rowing. We also have an excellent sports hall, a gymnasium, a judo dojo, a beautiful theatre, and a dance studio. We also have The Earth Centre which provides a unique and interdisciplinary approach to sustainability education. The centre draws on the school’s location in the UNESCO biosphere. Kingsley School is a mainstream school which also incorporates a specialist dyslexia department which has earned a national reputation for it’s excellence. This gives your son or daughter a day – or several days – at Kingsley School, entirely free of charge in order to see if Kingsley really is the right school for them.
