The Harrow Innovation Leadership Academies (HILAs) in China draw on Harrow’s progressive educational thinking and methodology and the wisdom of traditional Chinese culture to offer a unique, internationally-oriented and distinctively designed bilingual curriculum. Taught by a pre-dominantly international teaching staff, English is used extensively (as well as Chinese) to teach the compulsory Chinese National Curriculum content. The Harrow Values of Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship are instilled together with classic Chinese virtues. After the compulsory courses are completed, IGCSE and A Levels will also be offered through a broadly enriched curriculum. The HILA curriculum, in its overall aim, is to produce students who possess Chinese characteristics with a global perspective.
