Godolphin is an independent day and boarding school for pupils aged 11–19. Located on the outskirts of Salisbury, our beautiful campus offers a peaceful environment overlooking the city and its iconic Cathedral, just 1.5 hours from central London.
At Godolphin, we place a strong emphasis on individuality, creativity, and ambition. Our boarding community plays a pivotal role in this, with a warm, welcoming environment that enables pupils to flourish both academically and personally. Guided by our core values of ambition, authenticity, courage, and kindness, we provide a supportive environment where every pupil is known, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Academic excellence is fundamental at Godolphin. Our pupils consistently achieve top grades at GCSE and A-level, opening doors to prestigious universities and competitive apprenticeships. Our boarding staff play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic journeys, providing the care and structure necessary for success in both schoolwork and personal development. The routines and stability of boarding life, along with the support of dedicated house staff, allow our pupils to focus on their studies while developing essential life skills.
Beyond the classroom, our extensive co-curricular programme offers a wealth of opportunities for pupils to explore their passions. From sports to the arts, leadership activities to outdoor challenges, all our pupils participate in a wide range of activities that develop skills, build character, and inspire lifelong passions. Our successes in music, sport, and the arts reflect the value we place on a well-rounded education.
The pastoral care provided within our boarding community is exceptional. Our house staff are committed to providing individualised care, ensuring that every boarder feels supported, valued, and comfortable. With small, family-friendly boarding houses, every child is nurtured in a home-from-home environment, where they can thrive both academically and socially. The friendships formed here last a lifetime, and the memories created in our boarding community are treasured by our pupils.
As we move to co-education in 2025, our boarding provision will continue to evolve, offering a modern, inclusive approach that prepares all pupils for the future. Whether living in the boarding house for the week or enjoying flexible boarding arrangements, we empower every pupil to embrace their unique journey with confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose.
