Elstree school is a co-educational day and boarding school for children aged between 3 and 13 years old. Located in the village of Woolhampton in West Berkshire, the school is set in 150 acres of beautiful countryside and is approximately one hour from London.
With an all-encompassing atmosphere of encouragement and kindness, a stunning setting and exceptional facilities, Elstree aims to combine academic ambition with outstanding co-curricular opportunities whilst always remembering the importance of a proper childhood.
Proudly non-selective, Elstree maintains an excellent reputation for securing places, scholarships and exhibitions at top UK Senior Schools. Pupils play sports every day and all of them have the opportunity to represent their school at match fixtures. As part of an all-round education, the children are encouraged to play a musical instrument and over 90% participate in an orchestra, band or choir. All take part in at least one play each year, either on stage or behind the scenes. Day and residential trips are organised for every year group.
Elstree currently offers full, weekly and flexi-boarding for pupils in Year 4 and above. Saturday school is introduced from Year 5. As of September 2023, we will move to weekly and flexi-boarding only. Our boarders benefit from the school’s fantastic facilities, an exciting and diverse array of clubs and the excellent pastoral support we offer – all of which helps to build their independence, initiative and confidence.
