An oversubscribed and outstanding school with an exceptional reputation, set on a leafy parkland campus, seeks to appoint an Admissions Administrator to work in the  College’s Marketing and Admissions department. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to ensure the smooth running of the day and boarding admissions process from initial enquiry onwards.

The postholder will be required to work 30 hours a week (Monday-Friday) and occasional Saturday mornings during term time,  plus an additional four weeks during the holidays.  Saturday mornings are paid at 1.5 time.

We have a roll of 900 students, both day and boarding, including a Sixth Form of 250 students.

Job Description 

 

Responsible To Registrar

Induction, Training and Development Appropriate induction, training and development is valued by the College, is the responsibility of the line manager and is
an entitlement to the post holder whether new to the College or to the post.

Aims of the Post Reporting to the Registrar, the Admissions Assistant will provide a pivotal role in processing applications from students to
all years of the College, from initial enquiry through to entering the College. The role will require liaison with prospective
parents from both the UK and overseas, teaching staff and colleagues as well as a high level of administrative support to
the Admissions function.

Outline of Responsibilities
1. To respond to and monitor admission enquiries and applications ensuring responses are accurate and timely.
2. Organise tours and provide a positive welcome to prospective students and parents when they visit the College.
3. Be responsible for organising boarding suitability and academic interviews for students who have applied to the
College, tracking outcomes and liaising with staff on feedback.
4. Sending offer letters, tracking responses to deadlines and liaising with parents and staff as required
5. Maintaining application progress and admission records accurately in order to provide accurate data on the
Admissions landscape to colleagues across the College as required.
6. Assist the Registrar to prepare paperwork for Governors’ Admissions Committee.
7. Liaise with designers and print room to assist with the production of Admissions’ marketing materials as required.
8. Assist the Registrar with the coordinated admissions programme (SEAM) for Year 7 entry in conjunction with the
Local Authority.
9. Enter skeleton new starter details on to the College’s Management Information System (SIMS) and work with the
Sixth Form Administrator to record student subject choices during Sixth Form recruitment process.
10.Liaise with the Lower School Administrator and Sixth Form Administrator as necessary regarding arrangements for
students leaving/ joining the College.
11.Create files for all new students to the College.
12.Assist with registration, preparation and organisation of the Aptitude Tests for Year 7 entry.
13.Assist with the organisation of recruitment events including Open events.
14.Available to advise prospective parents at Open events
15. To provide administrative support across the Admissions function as required to enhance the applicant and student
journey.
16. Such other duties as may be required by the Principal.
