Founded in 1910, Beau Soleil is one of the oldest Swiss establishments of worldwide renown. Our 300 boarding students, from 11 to 18 years old, representing over 50 nationalities, are provided with a well-balanced education – intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially – in order to develop their sense of values and different levels of intelligence, and to show them the importance of personal effort and self-discipline. The three cornerstones of our education are: a balanced and personalised curriculum, a stable family community and an exceptional environment. With this in mind, students are constantly encouraged to embody the following four pillars of the school: Responsibility, Respect, Ambition and Determination. At Beau Soleil, “it’s what you do that counts”, students are encouraged to learn and grow from the experience. The real failure is not in slipping, but in failing to pick oneself up. Our programme of studies is taught in English and French (from Grade 10) leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the US High School Diploma. Students may also prepare for SAT, IELTS and TOEFL. Summer Camps are organised in July for students from 7 to 17 years old. French, English. Spanish and Chinese language courses are taught at six different levels, from beginners to advanced, with a maximum of ten students per class, in addition to sports, activities and excursions. Beau Soleil is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and has been designated an IB World School by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). It is a member of Nord Anglia Education, the Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS), Round Square and Swiss Learning.
