Caldicott is set in an idyllic location on the edge of an ancient woodland made famous by Harry Potter amongst many, called Burnham Beeches, yet it is only 30 minutes from west London and 20 minutes from Heathrow. With 40 acres of outstanding grounds in Farnham Royal, south Buckinghamshire, parents have described it as being the best located boarding and day prep school for boys in southeast England.

The success of Caldicott in recent years has led some to describe the school as amongst the country’s top prep schools yet our approach to the education we provide stems from an ethos fostered by our founder, Mr J Heald Jenkins. He believed that a prep school education should offer tremendous care for the needs of each boy, great breadth of opportunity in learning and the arts, innovative teaching and plenty of sport.

The main point of entry into Caldicott is in Year 3 and Year 4, although some boys join later. Please read more about our admissions process. All boys board in Year 7 and Year 8, with the option to board extending to Year 5 and 6 in September 2018. You will also find details about our next Open Morning at which you will be guaranteed a warm welcome.

Most boys leave at 13 to the finest independent senior schools with outstanding grades and routinely succeed in scholarship applications including academic, sport, music, art, drama and ‘all-rounder’ awards. Further details regarding future schools and scholarship success following Caldicott can be found here.

Caldicott is committed to an education that has the wellbeing of each boy at its heart; to develop individuals who thrive and flourish in the fullest sense. We aim to equip our children to be happy and confident, form lasting relationships with others and develop strategies for coping with the challenges life throws at them – essential skills for succeeding in today’s complex, fast-moving world. Our community is not only warm and welcoming from the staff and pupil body, but also our parents form the Friends of Caldicott who add another layer of friendship and happiness.

Our next Open Morning is on Saturday 16 May at 1000. Please visit our website for more information and to book your place – www.caldicott.com
