UWC Atlantic College

School Address: St Donat's Castle Llantwit Major Vale of Glamorgan Wales CF61 1WF

The founding college of a global education movement, UWC Atlantic College is an international residential school based in the UK. Each year, 350 students aged 16 – 18 from over 90 different countries benefit from a world-class International Baccalaureate educational experience. UWC Atlantic College is committed to making education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.

2012 was the college’s 50th anniversary. During this time the college launched the new ‘Atlantic Diploma’. The Diploma has two parts: the international Baccalaureate 16-18 academic curriculum, and a co-curricular programme of experiential learning that focuses on key aspects of peace and a sustainable future. They are interlinked and share a common heritage through the pioneering philosophy of Kurt Hahn, the United World College movement and the education work of Alec Peterson. http://www.atlanticcollege.org/the-atlantic-diploma/
