We are seeking to appoint a Turkish Teacher on an hourly paid basis to join our dynamic and successful Modern Languages Department.

As this will be the first year that Turkish has been offered at King’s, we require an individual capable of generating strong interest in the subject and establishing the language as a vibrant part of our curriculum.

This role would suit a fluent or native speaker of Turkish with a genuine passion for language teaching and a desire to instil their enthusiasm of the culture with young people.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with a range of professional backgrounds, including graduate students, language specialists and those with experience of tutoring or teaching in non-school settings.


The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Turkish to small groups or individual pupils, both native and non-native speakers, preparing them for examinations at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to pupils’ needs and interests.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Modern Languages Department to raise the profile of Turkish, both inside and outside the classroom.
