An opportunity has arisen for an inspirational Teacher of Computer Science to join our thriving academic department at Prior Park College, overlooking beautiful Bath.
Ability to teach Maths is also desirable but not essential.
The Computer Science department supports both Computer Science and ICT courses at KS3, GCSE and A-Level and sits within the Science Faculty.
The appointment will cover Computer Science at all year groups from Year 7 to Upper Sixth. Year 7 are learning on an internal, fully resourced scheme covering AI, device usage for education (Onenote, 365 ecosystem etc) and basic coding skills. Year 9 follow in an in-house course, again fully resourced, looking at using Computer Science to improve the environment – this looks at hardware/software integration, AI, coding and culminates in a project (a good recent example was a climate monitoring system). Year 10-11 follow the GCSE Computer Science course, and Years 12-13 are following the A-level Computer Science course.
A-level classes are always shared between two teachers, and there are a good amount of resources and support available at GCSE as well.
This is an ideal post either for an ECT or more experienced practitioner. The successful candidate will be an innovative and creative thinker with excellent communication skills.

The role will commence on completion of successful pre-employment checks on 5 January 2027 and run until the end of the academic year. A portable DBS would be useful.
