Job Description:

Framlingham College is a co-educational day and boarding school comprising of the Prep School in the beautiful setting of Brandeston Hall, and the Senior School which is set in the stunning surroundings in the market town of Framlingham.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic, and highly motivated Netball Coach to work across both of our school sites. Working closely with the Head of Netball, the successful candidate will be expected to further develop the College’s reputation for Netball, which is one of our Focus Sports. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, ambitious and successful Department. This is on a self-employed basis and starting from January 2022.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate checks in line with current safer recruitment regulations, and enter into a Self-Employed Agreement with the school.

JOB PURPOSE:

To coach netball to children at Framlingham College Senior and Prep School. To work with the Head of Netball to develop the players’ netball skills and confidence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is not an exhaustive list and the post holder will be expected to show flexibility and assist with other tasks of a similar nature. The post holder will be expected to work at Framlingham Prep as well as Senior School as necessary.

Coach and mentor school pupils on an individual or group basis across both school sites

Teach relevant skills, tactics and techniques to pupils of all ages and abilities

Plan and deliver activities to encourage players to reach their full potential

Maintain a positive learning environment

Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to players on and off court

Encourage positive communication within the team

Communicate effectively with other members of staff
