Second in Biology

Roedean is an extraordinary school, sitting within the South Downs National Park and overlooking the English Channel. It is not just the location, but our reputation for excellence in pastoral care, our strong academic focus, and our genuine belief in the importance of creativity and an all-round education, that makes Roedean unique.

We are seeking a remarkable and visionary person to join our team. The Second in Biology will be responsible for KS3 curriculum development, specific areas of teaching and learning, departmental administration, tracking and intervention for pupil progress.

This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Biology Teacher with a passion for their subject and a commitment to ensure that every pupil flourishes. The ability to teach all key stages is essential.

We welcome your interest in being part of our journey at a time of continued development, and with the recent arrival of Niamh Green as Head.

Roedean is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and with the DBS.
