Gresham’s School have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised health and safety officer to join the team.
At Gresham’s School, children can join us at our Nursery and Pre-Prep School from the age of 2 and continue with their education at our Prep and Senior Schools to the age of 18. Founded in 1555 and located in the heart of North Norfolk, Gresham’s is a thriving co-educational school set across 300 acres of countryside, just minutes from award-winning beaches and areas of natural beauty.
Gresham’s is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly organised individual into the role of Health and Safety Officer. The role involves responsibility, through the Head of Estates, for ensuring that the School complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other, education-specific mandated requirements (e.g. Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014 or National Minimum Standards for Boarding).
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the school’s safety regime, delivering or organising health and safety training of staff, and meticulous record keeping to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all relevant legislation.
