Registrar (Admissions)
The Registrar is responsible for the effective administration of admissions at all entry points, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and delivering an outstanding experience for prospective families.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer all aspects of admissions, from enquiry through to enrolment.
- Advise and clerk the Governors’ Admissions Committee, ensuring legal compliance and accurate record‑keeping.
- Coordinate admissions activities and events, including open events, tours, testing and interviews.
- Maintain accurate admissions data and oversee year‑end processes using EdGen and Applicaa+.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Marketing and Development, Accounts and external agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with feeder schools, overseas agents and prospective families.
- Line manage the Assistant Registrar and support admissions appeals and data reporting as required.
The Ideal Candidate
- An excellent communicator and confident relationship‑builder, able to handle sensitive and complex conversations.
- Highly organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities during busy periods.
- Strong written skills, particularly in formal correspondence.
- IT‑literate, with experience of database management and spreadsheets.
- Flexible, professional and committed to confidentiality and equal opportunities.
Experience in admissions, education, sales or event management is desirable but not essential.
Terms
- Salary: £34,433 – £37,596 (depending on experience)
- Hours:Â 37 hours per week
- Pension:Â Local Government Pension Scheme
- Annual leave:Â 25 days plus bank holidays
