St. John’s International School require a fun, enthusiastic and suitably experienced Nursery Assistant to grow our small, friendly Nursery team, working with our Nursery children aged between 2.5 – 4 years.

We are an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2.5 – 16, located on a hill, overlooking the sea, in the beautiful Regency town of Sidmouth. We are a relatively small school that caters for around 160 local day students, usually combined with around 50 international boarders, from more than 10 countries around the globe.

Ideally, you will be trained to a minimum of Level 3 with a fully recognised childcare qualification, although we will consider Level 2 depending on relevant experience, and for you to be able to demonstrate an awareness of all relevant frameworks.

We are looking for you to have dedication, to be involved in all aspects of the nursery, to be passionate about EYFS, with a positive team spirit, a ‘can do’ attitude with children, parents and staff, to love the outdoors and to value every aspect of school life, ensuring that our nursery continues to be a safe and exciting environment for the children.

We hope to have the expectation that you will be prepared to grow with us and to be flexible should staff cover be required.

Benefits include:

  • Company pension
  • On-site parking
  • Lunch provided
  • Pupil Discount
