Head’s PA & Admissions Manager

(Start date by negotiation)

We are looking for a genuinely outstanding individual to join our team as Head’s PA and Admissions Manager.

This is a high-level, front-facing and busy role, at the heart of which is the expectation to provide exceptional executive administrative support to the Head and the provision of a first-rate experience for families looking to join our School.

The successful candidate is likely to have experience of PA/administrative work in a high-performing organisation, and an understanding of the joys and rhythms of working in a busy and purposeful environment where people matter. We want to appoint an organised and hard-working person with plenty of initiative who is kind, happy to get stuck in to life in a busy school, at-ease when dealing with multiple stake-holders, committed to high standards, and good fun to work with.

This is a really exciting time to join our School. In 2019 we were awarded the best possible grading of ‘Excellent’ in all areas by ISI; in 2020 we were recognised by Microsoft Education as an Industry Leader for Remote Learning; and in 2021 we were shortlisted in the final 8 for the TES Prep School of the Year Award. Aspirations and standards are high, and we’d love to hear from you if you’re keen to be part of our team.

Further information about the appointment process and requirements may be obtained from our Support Services Office Administrator, Mrs Rosie Hankin (r.hankin@exetercs.org). Information about the vacancy and the School can be found at www.exetercathedralschool.co.uk. Please note that applications must be submitted using the ECS application form and emailed to Mrs Hankin.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday 6 June 2022. Interviews for shortlisted candidates are likely to take place on Thursday June 9 2022. Early applications are encouraged: the School reserves the right to interview and appoint at any time.

Exeter Cathedral School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all employees to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
