Masters Academy International
Masters Academy International (MAI) is New England’s only school that intentionally integrates professional-level athletic training with Tier 1 academics to prepare future leaders who excel in sport, scholarship, and life. Our students pursue ambitious goals on the field and in the classroom, and the residential experience is an essential part of that journey.

At MAI, the life students live outside the classroom is just as important as the work they do within it. A vibrant, well-designed residential life program builds community, supports well-being, and helps young people develop independence, leadership, and global awareness.

About the Role
Masters Academy International is seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Head Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of students in our boarding school community. The Head Nurse will provide comprehensive healthcare services, promote wellness, and ensure a safe living and learning environment for students residing on campus. This role is especially important in a boarding school setting, where the nurse serves as a primary healthcare provider and health educator for students who live away from home. The role may require evening or occasional weekend availability to support boarding students.

What You Will Do
The role involves providing first aid, basic medical care, and health assessments, administering prescribed medications, and supporting students with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies. The successful candidate will conduct routine health checks for boarding students, respond to medical needs that arise while students are on campus, and coordinate care with parents and local healthcare providers when required. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate and confidential health records, ensuring compliance with Massachusetts school health regulations and immunization requirements, and documenting all health visits and treatments. In addition, the role promotes student wellbeing through health education, encouraging healthy lifestyles, hygiene, and preventative care, while working collaboratively with dormitory staff, teachers, counselors, and administrators to support a safe and healthy boarding environment.

Who You Are
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of students within our boarding school community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school nursing, pediatric, or adolescent healthcare setting. Applicants must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts, or be eligible for licensure, and CPR and First Aid certification are required. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves working closely with students, parents, and school staff. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, with strong record-keeping abilities, and who brings a compassionate and supportive approach when working with adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
