Each year, Felsted School appoints graduates to support departments in the delivery of their programmes, and to contribute to co-curricular activities, boarding and house duties across the school.
Our sports graduates assist in our physical education and sports programmes with supervising, coaching, refereeing, umpiring and the organising of major games and activities at our Senior School.
Felsted School has a comprehensive training programme and fixture lists which includes supervising, coaching, refereeing, umpiring and supporting major games and activities. The main fixture sports at the School are rugby, netball, hockey, cricket, tennis, and football. The programme also includes swimming, squash, badminton, running, fitness, and dance. Pupils have PE lessons from Year 9 through to Year 11. Pupils can select PE as a GCSE option. In the Sixth Form, pupils can take the subject as PE A Level, Sport BTEC, or Sports Science via the IB route.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about sport. It is essential applicants are able to communicate effectively with young people as the role will include covering sports lessons and the possibility of accompanying sports trips. It is vital candidates have an evident passion for sport and games together with a strong interest in the teaching and the learning process, including high expectations of all students.
We particularly welcome applications from those who are able to coach more than one major sport and willing to assist in all areas of student school life at this ‘Excellent in every aspect’ rated independent school.
Full board and accommodation will be provided plus an honorarium payment of £15,743 per annum. This is a fixed-term position commencing from 28 August 2024 until 27 August 2025 and would be an ideal role for someone who holds a degree in Sport and is considering a career in teaching or boarding education.
