We are seeking to appoint a Graduate Boarding Assistant to work predominantly in our Lower School boarding House (Years 5-8). The role is offered on a one-year fixed term contract. This is a full-time residential role, term-time only. The successful candidate will contribute approximately 35 hours a week to the Lower School house including evenings and weekends with a possibility of some overnight cover. The Graduate Boarding Assistant will also work in another area of the school for 15 hours a week dependent on their particular skills and experience.
Our unique horizontal boarding system, where girls of the same age live together, creates a special sense of togetherness. Our Year 7 and 8 pupils board together in the Lower School (joined by a small number of year 5 and yer 6 boarders) and from Year 9 onwards live in one of our year-group Houses, moving up together each year.
As one of the oldest schools for girls in the UK, it’s a structure developed over many year that builds deep friendships and a strong sense of community.
