We are currently seeking a proactive, committed and experienced leader to further develop and grow our International Summer School and LEAP programme alongside the existing Summer School team, and oversee the day-to-day operation of the Summer School and ensure high-quality pastoral care for the wellbeing of all students.  In 2024, the Felsted International Summer School will celebrate its 10th year as an integral part of Felsted School’s legacy of internationalism and educating students to be global citizens.

Our candidate will ensure that a full team of staff are suitably recruited each year, and work with the Director of Global Education in leading the recruitment of students from around the world and maintaining positive relationships with our overseas partners and schools in different countries to ensure the programme continues to be educational, entertaining, engaging, and successful.

This is a significant role at the School, which will provide the opportunity for the right person to showcase their leadership skills within a growing business and, in return, provide an opportunity to enhance their management career within a prestigious environment.

Responsibilities include budget management and staff leadership, recruitment, selection and training of staff, ensuring a high-quality programme and pastoral care for all students, manage existing relationships with overseas agents, schools and consultancies and management of overseas student induction (LEAP) programme as well as support Felsted’s partnership as a Round Square school and accompany students to periodic international Round Square conferences throughout the year.

The successful candidate must be exceptionally organised with excellent communication skills, enjoy working on a team, have prior people and operational management experience with an emphasis on being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in UK Education, sales and marketing while also having a proven track record of meeting financial targets.

This role is a permanent position working full-time, all-year-round with a starting salary of c.£60,000 per annum. Due to the nature of the role, regular international travel is required and therefore flexibility in working hours will be required, as is the need to reside on-site during the International Summer School programme in July and August each year, plus during LEAP. When not working aboard, normal office hours apply (i.e. Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm). Further information can be found within the job description on our website.
